Make sure you’re sitting down before watching this. There’s just so much going on that if you’re standing you run the risk of getting weak in the knees
This is everything I’ll ever need. I almost feel like this is internet nirvana. I just can’t see things getting better than this. The production, the action, the commentary, the superstars, it had it all.
Most subway rides are terrible. You get in that little tube that anyone in the world could get on, it smells like all types of garbage coated in urine that’s stuffed in a bag of week old raw chicken, there’s people on their who haven’t bathed in weeks. It’s just an awful place. And generally when you see a video of something happening on a subway it usually has to do with some person crapping, pissing or worse right there in front of everybody. But then once in a while you get a group of guys who go and change the game and decide to have a Royal Rumble for the World Heavyweight Championship.
These guys appear to be part of a comedy troupe called Timhannrivera and their twitter is @timhannrivera. They have several skit videos like the Workaholics guys had with their Mail Order Comedy videos. I highly recommend you look them up. They even have other subway wrestling videos.
As for the subway Royal Rumble. The production was on-point. The costumes, mannerisms, commentary, graphics and sound effects were all so well done. The match was loaded with a lot in-subway-action. Some will say that there wasn’t a ton of flashy moves but anyone whose ever been in a Royal Rumble will tell you, when you’re in a r̶i̶n̶g̶ subway car and the b̶y̶s̶t̶a̶n̶d̶e̶r̶s̶ start piling up that there isn’t a ton of room to pull off high impact moves. It was nice that some of the superstars got to hit their finishing moves. I marked out when Stone Cold hit the car and started stunning everyone in sight. I was however disappointed that Booker-T didn’t pull off a Spinarooni. But that’s knit picking. Again, don’t lose sight that it was a subway car that these superstars were battling in.
There was also a lot of tremendous strategy involved. When the Big Show came out and started chopping people down with those gigantic mitts of his I thought this was his to lose. But like you so often see in rumbles, alliances are born and the Rock and Austin teamed up to throw the 500lb Big Show o̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶p̶ ̶r̶o̶p̶e̶ through the doors of the subway as it stopped to pick up more bystanders. But then the world got flipped upside down when the big red machine Kane entered last at #7. He was so fresh and nothing could stop him. He ran through everyone who was left and when it got down to Kane, Hogan and the Undertaker he continued his Royal Rumble dominance and threw both of them out at the same time. Your winner and newwwwwwww World Heavy Weight Champion, Kane!!!!
The best bump has to be awarded to the referee
You also got to hand it to creative for understanding that the Royal Rumble isn’t your garden variety PPV and even though it’s outlawed, they let Kane hit a tombstone
All around funny concept that I hope they don’t stop doing. There’s so many things they could do with this. Hope they don’t stop
